Signed and dated 1953 modern abstract oil painting by Philadelphia architect Kjell Ingebritsen. Along with commercial buildings, Kjell also designed several modern houses on Phialdephia's Main Line in Gladwyn and Wayne. His expansive use of glass, steel, and stone was a rare statement in this very traditional area filled with Colonial Revival homes.  He was also a painter, and this example, with its biomorphic shapes and primary colors would fit right in with a collection of Eames and other mid-century architect-designed furniture.
